Tasting Bourgogne 2020

A historic context,
2020 will certainly be remembered for many years to come. Apart from the international context, which forced the winegrowers to adapt relentlessly, it is the historic earliness of the vintage that will also attract attention. An exceptionally mildspring and a scorching summer led to unprecedented concentration. The date of the harvest was therefore a key element, requiring prudence and composure. A production still in decline…
It is an edifying contrast. The quality of this vintage is without comparison, the healthy and perfect grapes have produced wines of incredible subtlety and energy. Despite the heat, the white wines combine balance and concentration, while the reds, despite their very dark colours, are fresh and greedy. A great vintage for ageing in prospect? A rare vintage, therefore, in which we have once again had to severely limit the number of wines available so that everyone can enjoy them.

In tasting
The Chablisien, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise and Maconnais regions will be honoured. More than 140 wines to discover, including many prestigious grands crus.

2 new estates to discover
Jean-Hugues and Guilhem Goisot in the Bourgogne Côtes d’Auxerre and Saint-Bris appellations.Françoise and Denis Clair in the communes of Santenay and Saint-Aubin.

The volumes being very low in 2020, some vintages will not be/no longer available for tasting. Thank you for your understanding.
