Clos du Paradis Vintages

Château Pauqué ‘Abi Duhr’ Luxembourg

The 2001 vintage was marked by capricious weather conditions, a wet and hot summer favourable to the formation of vine diseases. This was followed by a very wet September which pushed back the ripening date of the grapes. The month of October was conducive to good fruit development.

A fresh, nervous vintage. The relatively late harvest enabled the Auxerrois to reach an ideal degree of ripeness. This Clos du Paradis has certain similarities with certain white wines from Beaune.

Complex, ample, lively on the finish.

Saffron, mirabelle plum, brioche and caramel.

After a year of heat wave in 2003, 2004 marks a return to normal. With little rainfall in the spring, flowering went well. On the whole, temperatures were mild for the good development of the vines, despite some late frosts and local hail. A dry summer and cool nights rounded off this classic vintage.

A vintage along the lines of the 2001 but with a little more fat…The 2004 started to be made after 10 years and it has now reached its peak.

Complex, ample and generous

Classic. Fine truffle notes. Honey, beeswax, mirabelle plum. Beautiful mineral structure, balanced with a generous mouthfeel.
