DIAGEO’S® 2021 SPECIAL RELEASES

8 legendary tales only known to the privileged few are now available in our store.
An absolute essential for scotch lovers who wish to enhance their collection with unique and rare pieces while staying on the edge of the finest spirits consumption.

THE STORY OF LEGENDS UNTOLD

In our fables, beings from another world fiercely protect our ancient lands, guarding for eternity the precious secrets of Scotland’s remote and wild distilleries. These legends tell of eight mythological and mysterious beings. Hidden from view and known only to the privileged few, they roam the lands and rule the waters of Scotland’s rugged lakes and highlands.

This year, the distilleries’ mythical creatures are ready to collide with the real world and reveal their true characters. For this special edition, the Master Blender has ventured into exceptional reserves and let his imagination run wild, pushing the boundaries of flavour with uncommon expertise and unique cask finishes.

The collection of eight single malt cask scotches includes unique bottles from Mortlach, Singleton of Dufftown, Talisker, Lagavulin, Cardhu, Oban and, for the first time in over a decade, Royal Lochnagar.

CARDHU 14 YEARS
The Scarlet Blossoms of Black Rock”

The Gaelic whispers of the black rock, ‘Carn Dubh’, have transformed into the eternal Cardhu of today. Summoned to the misty eminence of Mannoch Hill, this spirit draws you in with its familiar allure. Perhaps it is the signature of pioneer Helen Cumming, whose deft and delicate hand distilled an illicit whisky under the cloak of darkness. Even today, a mystical magnetism emanates from every drop.

TALISKER 8 YEARS
“The Rogue Seafury”

On the serpentine shores of Lake Harport, battered by the unforgiving winds of Skye, Talisker still stands proudly against all odds. The powerful landscapes that surround it are only eclipsed by the stories it has inspired. Everything here is shaped by the elemental forces of nature itself. But be warned: this is not a drink for just any wandering soul, only for the wild at heart – a whisky forged by the sea.

OBAN 12 YEARS
The Tale of Twin Foxes”

Legend has it that between the mountains and islands where Oban Distillery is located, twin foxes were born into light and darkness. One, with a bright orange coat, possessed the gift of lightness and speed bestowed by the Highlands; the other, dark as smoke, possessed the mysticism of the Isles. They were opposites, but each skillfully balanced the other. At Oban Distillery, the duality of light and dark of our wily brethren emerges in amber whisky, a particular dynamic of opposing energies: notes of the Highlands and the Isles in perfect harmony.

THE SINGLETON GLENDULLAN 19 YEARS
“The Siren’s Song”

Legend has it that deep in the waters of the Dullan River lived an ethereal mermaid. A golden maiden with the glittering tail of a fish, she was known to sing a honeyed melody inviting listeners to seek its source. At her touch, flowers and fruits ripened, and from her tail flowed rivers of gold. It is this siren song that has given Singleton its sweet, melodious nature – a slowly made scotch, rich with the bounty of autumn fruit, caramel and spices.
